PostSubject: AS for 0 on x Co   Sun Nov 25, 2007 5:59 pm

short story is im making a game need to know how to make a counter for how many times a movie clip named "worm" reaches 0 on the X co-ordinate.

and if this conter gets to 5, or 10 then it goes to next frame.

all help will be greatly apreshiated (someone cant spell) im newb at actionscript Sad

onEnterFrame = function(){
if(worm._x == 0){
counter = counter + 1;
if(counter == 5){
gotoAndPlay("framenumber");
}
}

}

That should do it. Btw the "framenumber" refers to the frame ur wanna go to. Eg if u are on the first frame then to go to the next frame u put gotoAndPlay(2); that'll send u to the next frame. Hope that helps.

Code:
if(_root.worm._x == 0){
_root.counter += 1;
}
if(_root.counter == 10){
nextFrame();
}

that should work unless you're using duplicatemovieclip, which you probably are, in which case it would be

Code:
if(_root["worm"+i]._x == 0){
_root.counter += 1;
}
if(_root.counter == 10){
nextFrame();
}

Trust me Flash AS 2.0 is an easy language. U do some basic programming like a preloader and a easy game and u'll see anyone can do it.
